Only white nurses can take care of newborn

A couple in Michigan refused to allow African American nurses take care of their newborn baby, according to an article by USA Today. Tonya Battle, the nurse on duty, found a note attached to the assignment sheet that read “No African American nurse to take care of baby.” Battle said she was floored by the note and in disbelief by the discrimination. It is said that the father of the newborn who made the request had a swastika tattoo on his forearm. I feel that the parents are terrible people…
