 I was thrilled to find this fat shaming article by blogger Brittany Gibbons on Huffington Post today. In the article, Brittany herself takes on fat shaming from both a personal and cultural perspective. I myself don’t think shaming people about their weight has ANY positive effect on the situation…it just encourages unhealthy self-loathing behaviors and creates this absolutely ass-backwards hierarchy based on weight and appearances only.
