It’s really refreshing to hear about high-profile people coming forward and being honest about surgical/cosmetic work that they’ve had done. Of course, it’s even better (for me, at least) when they speak about negative side effects or feelings they are faced with after. Not that I like people to regret these decisions (it’s horrible to regret anything), but I do believe that it helps people who are listening to think twice about making these decisions and to be thankful for what they have naturally. A little confession time: Before I learned to appreciate the deep, dark, mysterious….ok, BROWN color of my own eyes, I’ll admit that I wished my eyes were green. An impossibly intense green perhaps, but I still really wanted them to be green instead of brown, which I thought was very boring at the time. Luckily, that did not last long.

People have gotten a lot more serious about bullying in the past two years. More protective and strict policies have been put in schools, organizations have been created and there is so much more media attention surrounding bullying. Although all of these proactive measures are to help ensure that young people are not bullied, some are taking matters into their own hands by trying to ensure that they cannot be bullied any longer.
