Abercrombie & Fitch Supports Racism, Sexism & Size Discrimination

Abercrombie & Fitch has a long history of racism, sexism, and size discrimination hidden within its dimly-lit store. As far back as 2002, A&F sold t-shirts that were racially insensitive to Asians. The shirts were eventually pulled after a massive backlash. Then the brand got into some more trouble for marketing a line of thongs and underwear with sexual phrases printed on them that were geared towards pre-teens. The merchandise was finally discontinued after numerous complaints from angry parents. In 2005, the apparel company sold women’s t-shirts with sexist slogans…

UFC Athlete Gives Inappropriate Interview

The UFC has been getting a lot of flack lately. Some of the facts are really surprising. Written by Mazher Ali, the communications coordinator for United for a Fair Economy, a national group working to…

Magazine uses black face in fashion spread

This article makes me want to scream What Are They Thinking! The “great” minds over at Numéro Magazine thought that it would be a great idea to put a very white 16 year old model in black face. Obviously, Numéro didn’t read all the negative comments the received from the last photo shoot they did like this. Referring to a caucasian model portrayed in black face as an African Queen is just insanely offensive. Last time I checked there were tons of beautiful, sexy African American models available for this…
