Gabi Gregg has a popular plus size fashion blog that got attention not too long ago when she posed in a bikini and daringly put it on her site. Gabi posted the picture hoping to inspire plus size women to rock their bodies and to be confident in whatever swimwear they chose. She received such positive feedback from her fans that she then created a gallery entitled “31 Hot Sexy Fat Girls in Skimpy Swimwear.” Now Gabi has a new mission and that is to get plus size women to wear bikinis she’s designed along with swimsuits for all. Gregg was tired of the same black and floral print plus size one-piece bathing suits she would see in the store every year so she created the “Fatkini.” The fatkini is a high waisted retro style neon bathing suit that is said to flatter any size. Gabi’s fashionable swimwear will come in sizes 10 through 24 for only $68. The collection which also includes cover ups will be available May 15. While I don’t love the name “fatkini” for the bathing suit I love the concept. I absolutely hate bathing suit shopping. Every plus size swimsuit either has a skirt or an ugly floral print on it. Let’s be honest swimwear these days looks like bathing suits for elderly women. I love the design Gabi has come up with and while I might be nervous to wear it in public, I would definitely feel sexy and trendy in it. I can’t wait for the suits to become available and at $68 it’s really a steal compared to what you pay for at some other plus size swimwear sites and stores.
