Plus-size mannequinsWhile we’ve recently seen a slight influx of plus-size models—like Emme Aronson and Mia Tyler— and an expansion of lines catering to larger women, storefront mannequins stubbornly stay size zero. That is, until today. Debenhams department store in London unveiled a series of size 16 mannequins, with signs that read “I’m a size 16. Do you want to see more of me?”  With the majority of women in the UK measuring between sizes 14 to 16 and nearly half of Debenhams’ sales coming from clothes that fall within that range, one can only expect a resounding “Yes” from customers—women with real curves who shop for the season’s hottest trends.
